A new 6 km road from Lamiti to Yadua on Gau Island is under construction, with 3.8 km completed.
The upgrade will significantly reduce travel time from 90 minutes to 30 minutes, provide direct access to Qarani Jetty, and support the pine industry.
It will improve village connectivity, facilitate easier access to markets, enable faster transport of goods and services, and strengthen community ties, enhancing infrastructure and transportation across Fiji.
