The People’s Coalition Government has officially delivered a cyclone-resilient ablution block in Matainoco Village, Tailevu — a $62,175.90 investment in health, hygiene, and disaster resilience.
Opened by Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka, the facility ensures villagers can maintain dignity and proper hygiene even during cyclones and floods. Village Headman Timoci Maiwiriwiri expressed gratitude, noting its role in preventing Non-Communicable Diseases and strengthening community well-being.
This project reflects the Government’s commitment to building stronger, safer, and healthier rural communities across Fiji.
