Mission 2026/2027: Holding Ground and Expanding Support

The People’s Alliance Party has set its mission for the 2026 General Election: Hold the Ground, Expand the Support, Secure the Victory. Prime Minister and Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka affirmed that the party is prepared, united, and ready for a highly competitive contest, even as new political parties seek registration.

Mr. Rabuka expressed confidence in the People’s Alliance’s strength, noting that the party will not only defend its current position but also expand its reach by winning over new supporters. He highlighted the growing momentum within the party, pointing to the 108 expressions of interest received from prospective candidates—a clear sign of rising confidence in the party’s leadership.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to greater women’s participation, emphasizing that many of the prospective candidates are women, reflecting the People’s Alliance’s dedication to inclusivity and balanced representation.

The mission is clear: strengthen the ranks, expand support, and earn the trust of the people once again. The People’s Alliance enters the 2026 General Election with unity, confidence, and determination to secure victory and continue building a stronger Fiji.
