🌱 Boosting Support for Fiji’s Sugarcane Farmers

The Ministry of Sugar, under Hon. Charan Jeath Singh’s leadership, has ramped up efforts to empower sugarcane farmers—particularly young and new entrants—through the New Farmers & Lease Renewal Program.

✅ 482 farmers have already received land security and assistance
✅ 100 more farmers are set to benefit this year

This initiative strengthens farmers’ confidence and paves the way for the next generation to enter the industry with certainty.

As Acting Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, full support is reaffirmed to ensure farmers have better access to land, resources, and markets. The joint effort aims to sustainably grow Fiji’s sugar and agriculture sectors.
