🚜 Connecting Farmers to Opportunity: Rural Farm Road Upgrades

The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development, led by Hon. Sakiasi Raisevu Ditoka, is transforming lives through the Rural Outer Island (ROI) Development Programme for 2024–2025.

🛣️ 30 rural farm roads completed

📏 152+ km of upgraded access across key provinces

👥 Over 5,800 people and 1,200 households directly impacted

📍 Highlights include:

• Cakaudrove: 15km Sese–Kedra & 10km Nacula–Volovoni links
• Navosa/Sigatoka: 9km Nasaucoko road now connects highland valleys
• Kadavu: 8km Naqalotu–Tawava route near Mount Washington
• Lau: 7.5km access road between Cakova and Vadra helps yaqona farmers
• Namosi–Naitasiri: 15km Wainimakutu–Nasava road with co-financing
• Ba: 6km Uluimagodro road meets FRA standards

These roads are more than infrastructure—they’re lifelines to clinics, schools, markets, and brighter futures. The Ministry of Agriculture stands in solidarity, recognizing that accessible farm roads empower farmers to move produce, lower costs, and seize market opportunities.
